Established in 1994 and run by a volunteer committee  the Wolverhampton Rheumatology Support Group (WRSG) is for people whose lives are touched in some way by arthritis.

Our group motto is ‘Caring is Sharing’. The WRSG group is for people whose lives are touched in some way by Arthritis. When you first get your diagnosis it can feel very frightening and lonely. We offer help, support and friendship to members, their family, their carer’s and friends. WRSG offers a ‘Buddy Scheme’; when you join you are allocated a ‘Buddy’ for you to contact at times you are feeling down.

Our group holds monthly coffee mornings / information sessions, at 10.30, on the first Monday of each month whenever possible. We have guest speakers come along to talk to us on a variety of subjects. WRSG meet at Linden House, 211 Tettenhall Road, Wolverhampton, WV6 0DD. WRSG has a committee of  9, we organise outings and social events for our members. We also arrange educational forums in self- management of arthritis. We have close links with both New Cross and Cannock Hospital. We endeavour to keep members up to date with changes and new medication on offer via our guest speakers.
